'Aides Memoires' by Gregory Kerr

Professor Kerr’s distinguished academic career has somehow unjustifiably obscured his talents as a painter. He is certainly our premiere colourist and a superb craftsman but in this exhibition of etchings and monotypes which are then worked on with pastel he shows what a sly and witty draughtsman he is.

The subject matter is idiosyncratic and the colours glow like jewels – an exhibition for people who really love fine workmanship and intelligent painting.
